The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) today applauds USHCC Foundation Director Jennifer Tarazon for having been recognized as the 2011 Visionary of the Year by The Latino Entrepreneurial Network (LEN) of Southeast Wisconsin.
The LEN selected Tarazon to receive this recognition because of her firm passion and commitment to assisting entrepreneurs, individuals and chambers of commerce in realizing their entrepreneurial dreams.
"We have seen Jennifer demonstrate a true and unwavering commitment to the spirit of Hispanic entrepreneurship," says Latino Entrepreneurial Network President, Juan Alcaraz. "Through her leadership at the USHCC Foundation, groups like LEN are able to advance the education of our organization's leaders and members so that they can continue to develop successful, profitable businesses."
In her role as Foundation Director, Tarazon works to enhance the capacity of the USHCC's constituents by offering them technical assistance, educational support and alternative resources. With these resources, constituents are able to build and strengthen their businesses in communities across the nation.
"Jennifer's drive and enthusiasm are apparent no matter what task she takes on, but her commitment to education is truly remarkable," says USHCC President and CEO Javier Palomarez. "Having spent much of her professional career supporting education initiatives in diverse communities, Jennifer's experience and leadership have propelled our Foundation forward, allowing us to educate entrepreneurs in a unique and meaningful way. We at the USHCC are proud of Ms. Tarazon for being recognized as Visionary of the Year, and are grateful to the LEN of Southwest Wisconsin for this recognition."
Tarazon is a graduate of Smith College where she earned a B.A. in American Government and holds a J.D. from J. Reuben Clark School of Law, Brigham Young University.
