The nation’s largest Hispanic college scholarship awarding organization is holding its annual Hall of Fame gala to raise scholarship funds to help more deserving students attend college.

NEW YORK, NY (September 26, 2012) — Six influential Latinos will be inducted to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s (HSF) Alumni Hall of Fame, joining an impressive cadre of prior inductees representing the more than 55,000 students HSF has awarded since inception in 1975.

The HSF Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes past HSF scholarship recipients and other successful Latinos whose stories of achievement and contributions to their communities demonstrate the power of higher education, and personify the mission and values of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Check out the list of past inductees: http://www.hsf.net/AHOF_Inductees_All.aspx.

HSF is also recognizing long-time partner Procter & Gamble for its continued support of HSF and Latino Higher Education. Since 1986, P&G has funded over $4 million dollars for scholarships and college-readiness programs for Hispanic students through HSF.

“The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is proud to have provided over $360 million in scholarships to deserving Hispanic students, many of whom are now in top positions and giving back to their communities.” said Frank Alvarez, President and CEO of HSF. “It is their success stories and our donors’ support that keep us committed to the dream of placing at least one college degree in every Hispanic household in the country, and through this vision, help America once again have the most educated, innovative and responsible populace on earth.”

The Alumni Hall of Fame will take place October 17 at Gotham Hall in New York City. Information and live streaming will be available starting at 6:30 p.m. at www.HSF.net/AHOF.

The following day, HSF will also host its annual Chairman’s Education and Innovation ...
