Honoring the life, music and contribution of Celia Cruz
New York City, March 7, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The Dominican Republic Education And Mentoring (DREAM) Project will honor their ever-growing list of achievements in education on the second annual benefit that will take place at New York's leading Latino cultural institution

El Museo Del Barrio on March 7, 2013.

DREAM’s annual benefit will embrace the rich history and culture shared by all Latinos through one of the world’s most adored artists, Celia Cruz. Invited guests will celebrate with the showcase of an exclusive collection of memorabilia on the the year that marks the 10th anniversary of her passing.
Our guests of honor include Dominican Fashion Designer Sully Bonelly, currently Creative Director for Isaac Mizrahi, Omer Pardillo Cid, President of The Celia Cruz Foundation, Producer and two-time Grammy Award winner and DREAM's Honorary Chairman, Pulitzer Prize and MacArthur Genius Grant winning author Junot Díaz. These three special guests will receive recognition for their work in education and the Hispanic community. Our honorees will be joined by DREAM Executive Board Member Sen. Adriano Espaillat, DREAM Honorary Chair Person Celines Toribio, Cid Wilson, Miss DR US Chantel Martinez, Councilman Guillermo Linares and Tamsen Fadal, Author and Anchor of WPIX 11 Morning News. Other invited guests include Victor Cruz, Prince Royce, Michelle Rodriguez, Manny Perez, Zoe Saldana, Manny Ramirez, Nelly Rosario, Dania Ramirez and Pedro and Carolina Martinez.
This gathering will bring together inspiring, talented, and successful Hispanic influencers for one night to celebrate the life of a legend in the Hispanic community and also highlight the importance of helping protect the dreams of Latino families throughout. Paintings, photography, literature, music, film and most importantly, education will be showcased during the event.
